Presentation : Box of 5 & 10 cigars
Three blue rings with gold foil. Cellophaned

Covered in a magnificent, dark as night, Ecuador-grown oscuro Sumatra wrapper, this cigar strikes first by its rich raw notes of leather, ripe tropical fruits and cocoa. Its thick smoke shows remarkable strength from the start. The first third surprises by its aromas: date palm blossom, agarwood and cinnamon. Soon those refreshing notes make way for some bolder notes of Andalusian leather and spices, weaved in remaining floral tones. A round, heartwarming and savory third. Far from losing intensity, the cigar gains strength, its unctuous second third revealing a rare aromatic panel: mokka coffee, incense resins, leather and scorched earth lashed by the rain, cardamom and toasted bread, flavors almost fighting one another in an intoxicating way. This firework of aromas doesn’t end and gains even more momentum in the last third, its rich, musky, spicy and smoky notes melting together in an impressive and perfectly balanced olfactory climax. A heady cigar, an adventure, a nocturnal cigar to be enjoyed under the stars of the Milky Way during a desert bivouac.

Wrapper : Sumatra grown in Ecuador
Binder : Nicaraguan Criollo
Filler : Nicaragua (Condega + Jalapa)
Presentation : Box of 5 & 10 cigars
Three blue rings with gold foil. Cellophaned

Covered in a magnificent, dark as night, Ecuador-grown oscuro Sumatra wrapper, this cigar’s raw notes evoke spring flowers, hay and tropical soils. Its unctuous start show a remarkable balance between aromas and power. The first third opens the dance with candied fruits, spices, cardamom and cloves fragrances, mixing with perfumed leather, rhum, molasses and ripe grapes. A surprising balance, a pleasant gentleness. By the middle, its olfactory panel diversifies, introducing woody and musky notes. Mokka coffee, notes and Porto wine aromas distinguish themselves from the rest, accompanied by a few floral notes. The cigar keeps gaining momentum, becoming almost intoxicating. The dance of flavors of the first two thirds amplifies, goes crescendo while new notes join in: barn, saddlery muscovado sugar, black tea and cocoa complement the rest. As the end nears, the delighted smoker finds himself comfortably enveloped in a rich and thick smoke, the grand finale of the orchestra. An exceptional cigar, an invitation to travel and a love letter to reverie. A cigar made to be savored at dusk aboard a boat gently cruising along the Nile, searching for Rastaban in the celestial vault.

SAHARA WINDS line

Harmattan

58X6
1/2

Wrapper : Mexican maduro San-Andres
Binder : Ecuadorian Habano
Filler : Nicaragua (Condega + Jalapa)
Presentation : Box of 5 & 10 cigars
One red ring with gold foil. Cellophaned

An elegant cigar, its almost metallic-looking Mexican maduro San-Andres wrapper is already by itself the promise of a great olfactory journey. Its raw notes form a diptych: cedar and lapsang-souchong black tea on one side, leather and musk on the other. The first third sets the tone: notes of candied fruits and licorice, draped in a mineral veil, followed by spicy notes evoking leather, cocoa and mokka coffee. The strength to aroma balance is astonishing, and the cigar stays very rich as to warn of the gustative shock that is about to come: the smoke keeps getting more intense, developing fragrances of warm sand, freshly roasted coffee, incense, barn or fine herbs such as fenugreek and chervil. Lastly, in the third part, the aromas seem to melt altogether and caramelize: muscovado sugar, toasted bread, musky and almost animal scents. The thick smoke doesn’t go down in flavor, without however becoming neither heavy, bitter nor aggressive.
The particularity of this exceptional cigar is that it can be smoked from both ends. Depending on which is lit, the aromas develop differently, thus delivering a completely different experience to the smoker. It almost feels like two different cigars, two distinct souls are hiding under one unique wrapper. A truly great gustative experience, an empire-style cigar, highly evolving, to be savored in the gardens of a Marrakech palace while, just a little further away, the Harmattan wind blankets the city in sand and dust.
